About Easton Robotics

Easton Robotics, LLC was founded in 2019 by Jeff Chandler, a veteran IT executive with farming in his blood. His experience of observing farming and working with farmers led him to think that there is an answer to the plight of farmers trying to work small parcels. In Talbot County, Maryland where Easton Robotics is headquartered, the land is flat and wet. The crops are mostly soybeans, grain sorghum, wheat, and corn. For the most part, the market is chicken feed buyers. Successful farmers are working dozens of small parcels, but it is a real challenge to do so. Big combines, tractors, and sprayers routinely drive down the busy roads moving from one field to another. The few very large parcels in the area are ideal for the giant combines, but not well suited for narrow country lanes that access small fields. The time spent moving equipment is close to the time spent actually using the equipment.
Our mission is to help the small acreage farmer, and change the dynamics. We expect to develop new truly innovative products to address the needs we see. But it will require new ideas. We have under development several projects and we are interested in hiring people who want to share in this journey.
Easton Robotics is a start-up business and is seeking early stage investment as we build the business and develop intellectual property. We are fortunate to have the University of Maryland system nearby as a potential source of talent, particularly the UMD Robotics Center, Salisbury University, and University of Maryland Eastern Shore (UMES). We are also fortunate to have available the strong farming community in the Delmarva peninsula for sources of ideas and testing, as well as a county economic development agency that is engaged in helping local businesses.
